Porsche 911 Turbo

This is a drawing I did for my uncle for Christmas. He not only sparked my interest in cars, but has always been a huge supporter of my artwork - even before it was all that impressive.

This was drawn and outlined freehand.

This was the first drawing I have done on Strathmore 500 smooth bristol. I found it to be very smooth and fine, but unfortunately it had the tendency to create dark marks of graphite. Next time I will use Canson's bristol.

Halfway through the drawing I purchased two Graph Gear 1000 mechanical pencils to try out.. They are much heavier than the 500's, and have a very large and cumbersome clip. I eventually switched back to the old 500's.

Materials:
-Strathmore 500 series smooth bristol
-0.3mm Pentel Graph Gear 500 mechanical pencils
-Tombow Mono pencil set
-Papermate Tuff Stuff eraser stick
-Sakura Electric Eraser
-Cretacolor Nero pencils (oily, black and without shine- used for shadows and interior)
-Chalk Pastels (for the background - never again I am doing a background with these. I lost nearly all detail on the outline of the car, and the 7 hours I spent on it were excruciating.)
